Spring is just around the corner and love is in the air…sooo we thought we’d give you a little help planning that next weekend getaway with your special someone. Over the next three Memorable Mondays, we will be highlighting some of our favorite posting about three of the most beautiful, romantic getaways in California, working our way down the coast. Today we start with our #1, San Francisco.
Where to begin…the gorgeous museums? Sweeping views of the city and bay? Not to mention the amazing, gourmet food (including 5 star seafood, if oysters and lobster are your thing). The cable cars. The shopping! I have the fondest childhood memories of San Francisco, as it is the first major city in California I ever visited with my mom and going in all theamazing stores!
If you’re like me, and beautiful views take your breath away, visit the Marin Headlands, the viewpoint at Twin Peaks, and the Japanese Garden in de Young Golden Gate Park by day. Crissy Field’s path by the Golden Gate Bridge is perfect for a romantic stroll…if you start at dusk before the sun sets, you can see the beautiful city lights go up as you round back. When night falls, the glamorous, 30’s style Starlight Room is a glamorous place for drinks and dancing.
