WEDDING TRADITIONS: SOMETHING OLD, NEW, BORROWED AND BLUE

While no one should be superstitious at their wedding, we love the idea of incorporating something old, new, borrowed, and blue!

Old, New, Borrowed, Blue

Your something old can be lace from your mom’s wedding dress or a handkerchief from someone who couldn’t be there with you. This traditionally was to help you keep a piece of your family’s past as you head into your future. Something new could be a new necklace from your in-laws or even just a new veil! Your something new symbolizes a bright new future!

There are SO many options for something borrowed. Be sure to choose something meaningful to you, like your grandma’s earrings or your sister’s veil. This is meant to symbolize borrowed happiness and good fortune! Try a garter, sapphire jewelry or stunning shoes as your something blue to represent love and fidelity.

Don’t forget that it’s not bad luck if you don’t follow the tradition! This is just another perfect way to make new memories that you can share for a lifetime!
